Gearing up to wind down.

We're officially over halfway through the semester now, by my math -- this past week was Spring Recess, in fact, though you couldn't tell by looking -- and I only have 20 hours left of my 135 required internship hours. Huzzah! As I said I would last week, I talked to my supervisor about spending the majority of it at Oddball, so's I can get as much practical, hands-on knowledge as possible. He said that's doable, and though he didn't have anything specific in mind when I asked him, he said whatever he comes up with might require me coming in on consecutive days rather than once a week.

There's also a good chance that I'd go over my 135 hours as a result, and the additional hours wouldn't go to my units or anything, but that's okay. Potential future employers (call them legion, for they are many) are going to care more about the skills I develop rather than the how much I stuck to the letter of SJSU law. So.

Had to make my way through another scary door, one which has been gifted by natural selection with perfect wall-camouflage. You have to look closely, but eventually you'll see a door!
The map swore it was there...
...and I doublechecked to make sure it was okay to open it. There's a fine line between taking initiative and overstepping bounds, particularly when the bounds technically lead into the boss's office.

Other things I learned: not all of the videotapes live in the video room. Some live in boxes marked BANO, which is only a little funny if you have a rudimentary understanding of Spanish.

And this note taped to the inside of a can asks that if the film breaks, do not use Scotch tape, pins or paper clips to repair.

Srsly, guys.
